Explore the birthplace of Canadian prohibition

Fill your flasks at the hippest watering holes in Owen Sound during the Second-Annual Corkscrew City Tour hosted by the City of Owen Sound!

In collaboration with The Beer Bus, the City is partnering with Roxy Theatre, local breweries, museums and others to offer a new immersive experience that will bring to life the days of prohibition a century ago, in what was then known as “Corkscrew Town.”

Guests will hop on the Beer Bus to meet the saints and sinners of yesterday and the brew masters of today here in Owen Sound, the birthplace of the prohibition movement and the last dry city in Canada.

Historian and author Richard Thomas will be leading the excursions, which will include tastings, brewery tours and dinner, plus surprises along the way.
